Parent Association

Our school has a Parent Association (PA), which is an organisation of parents/guardians. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school.

Our PA holds our annual general meeting in October, at the start of the school year. At this meeting a committee is elected to run the PA – usually consisting of a chair, a treasurer, and a secretary.
The PA usually meets once a term but keeps in regular contact with parents /school.

Our PA raises money through various means. A voluntary contribution is requested once a year and we hold one main event at Halloween – for example this year a Halloween fancy dress party/quiz. However, we’re always looking for new fundraising ideas.

There are many different ways you can help with the PA, whether you have lots of time to offer or not.
Some of the roles are time-consuming, although also rewarding. If you can’t commit to a big job, please look out for things you can do less frequently. Of course, you can always support PA events by simply turning up.
